Came across this article today - not sure if anyone else had already posted the link http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/TopStories/20 ... ne-110624/ but thought it would be a good thing to share.

Small excerpt to whet your appetite:

"A low-cost tuberculosis vaccine that's been in use for decades could get new life as a treatment for juvenile diabetes -- with preliminary research showing it could reverse the disease."

I know a lot of the people from the US are keen on this and contributing to her expenses.
For years almost everyone in the UK (not in the US) had a BCG vacination, I wonder if there was any perception of a change in insulin needs at the time (no internet then though so no shared 'wisdom'

So a new Jab cure for T1s and New crash diet cure for T2s will be able to close the web site down
stop all the agro

Found video was slow to load but well worth watching
Good find

I had my BCG whilst in hospital after diagnosis, and had my first hypo shortly afterwards. Could be related to the BCG, but not surprising really as this was after 2 weeks on insulin, when my body was probably becoming more sensitive to insulin, and I'd got more active while I spent a few hours at home each day prior to discharge.

And, you give a newly diagnosed type 2 virtually no carbs, and they lose weight and their blood sugar comes down - surprise surprise!
