Hey not sure where to put this so I've decided here! It's diabetes week 9-15 June so I wanted to know if there are wristbands or anything we can buy or get for free to show our support?? Thanks xx

I've never heard of Diabetes week before ! Why does diabetes fail to get itself in the public eye with some positive publicity for once ? The only time you ever see or hear about it in the press or TV is "overweight" disease etc ! "Lifestyle choice" so annoying. I have heard that the NHS spends millions on diabetes treatment ! Is diabetes uk a very poor charity ? Does the Gov't fund any positive advertising with decent public education ? You always hear about cancer, poverty, homeless etc etc and whilst all very worthy causes, it would be nice to get some diabetes truth out there too !

I totally agree! Diabetes seems to be brushed under the rug by everyone. Tbh I'm not entirely sure what's going on in diabetes week or how to get involved etc so I thought a wristband to show support would be nice as there are badges and daffodils etc for cancer and other charities but nothing for us!
