What kind of help are you looking for? Someone to help you across the road, someone who can explain the offside rule, someone you can go for a drink with?
As a T2, (I'm on meds and low carb) I've travelled to a lot of places since diagnosis and the only problem I've experienced was in California when I found that my Luxembourg pharmacist had doubled my Januvia prescription and halved my Glucophage (Metformin), which meant that I was in danger of running out of Glucophage. However, an email to my son soon had him scanning my prescription and emailing it to me, whereupon the Californian pharmacist let me have more Glucophage. And tomorrow I'm leaving for a coast to coast train trip of the US.
So, let us know what kind of help you think you may need and I'm sure the friendly people on the forum will be able to offer advice.

Once in the UK you might do well to visit a pharmacy in the UK and ask there. If they can't help directly then they should be able to put you in touch with someone who can pretty quickly. Prior to travel, I'd say speak to your own doctor and your embassy staff.
