Disaster.. the back front and most of one sleeve all need undoing. I tested my tension too which I rarely do. Came to the end of increases for sleeve then was supposed to pattern to 18"... it already measures 23......looked at V on front again as I thought it did look long in comparison to bottom half, held it against me and it goes down to my belly button.... similarly all the raglans are superlong too.....
Not a happy bunny as it was for an Xmas present....too late now....ah, well, only consolation I can wind it all up and start again unlike sewing

Oh curses, you really have my sympathy, I have had that happen to me recently too, Mr G was reduced to keeping his head down whilst I muttered and juggled to keep from having to frog the sweater completely (fortunately it was only a plain one for myself).

Thanks geeful. This was a nice thick drop rib...the one where you knit one row and rib the next but on the knit stitches going one below
He likes warm & baggy but this would've been baggy in the extreme
I don't know whether to try again with this pattern or dig out one I've used before....sooooo disappointed

My latest batch of Christmas cards for our village Advent market went down well. All hand painted watercolour pics.

Do you do them for your friends & family too?
Usually I do, but this year I chose 3 designs and got them printed up as cards. I'm really impressed with how they've turned out and am waiting to see who notices they are by me!

Have finally finished my tiger cross stitch......

...just need to find a frame now....

It is lovely. The expression is great. Is the light green behind the tiger's head half cross stitch or just the way the light has caught the picture?
Found a cross stitch I did years ago the other day. I must take a picture before it gets put away again

and here it is.... it was made for the bedroom of a girl that turned out to be a boy - knowing how long these things take I was planning ahead!

here is the latest finished project. My first shot at stranded knitting (apart from a bit of greek key pattern on a sweater cuff when I was about 10yrs old), so I'm quite pleased, it's a tam made from a free pattern called 'Selbu' I found on Ravelry.

It ended up slightly bigger than the pattern, I think it was because I was so worried about not pulling the strands too tight.

Wow, that's lovely. I have no idea what stranded knitting is but it sounds complicated
It's just knitting with two (or more colours) and the unused colours are "stranded" across the back of the knitting....you can "catch them in" as you go but this takes more care & patience

You've done a great job, looks lovely
