When I was diagnosed in around March I was told that an eye test had been requested.

I havent heard anything since, does it usually take this long?

Also would I ever see a foot person, or is that just something for the DN?

Thanks :)

Do you mean retinopathy screening? I used to get that done by the specialist at my annual review or by a special retinopathy van that visits teh local hospital but you can get it done at some private opticians (though you may have to pay)

Give your diabetes cenre a ring, it's important to keep an eye on your eyes!

Rude people! Not being able to do the things I want to do.
Check with your doctor or DN and ' jog their memory' !! You should have been refered for the retinal screening but usually have to make your own appointment with an ordinary Optician.

Work!
Daz, if you don't get an appointment through (which you should really follow up on after all this time) then Boots Opticians offer this as part of their eye testing. I've been having them for years, AND they don't use the drops to dilate your pupils which they use at our local diabetes screening centre :D
