Diabetic Jargon.

It amuses me when I get into indepth discussions with fellow diabetics - and non-diabetics look at me as if I am speaking in Latin!

Diabuddies, basals, bolus, troughs and peaks, BGL's, and so forth. When you join this group you start to develope a whole new vocabulary. Someone should develope a Diabetic Dictionary for the Newly Diagnosed. It would save a lot of confusion!

Absolutely Leslie 10152, I am 1 month in and still learning all the abbreviations!
