Thanks for your answer unfortunatley she is the only one who deals with the diabetic clinicI guess the nurse was having a bad day. Her nasty comments were totally uncalled for. I suppose said nurse didn't tell you what the "not very good" results were. Many of us, including me, insist on having a printout of our blood test results after each appointment. That way we can see whether we are keeping things under control. You could ask a receptionist to arrange printouts of all your test results to date.
At our Health Centre we have two nurses who monitor Diabetic patients. Is there another nurse you could see?
Thank you for your answer I will take it on boardHi.
One option is to attend the Surgery on the provision that you request not to see that particular person. It's your right.
Secondly, consider a change of practice altogether.
Think of yourself as having an impenetrable shield around you, and simply nothing can penetrate it or hurt you.
Inevitably in life we meet negative people, often they criticize or dislike you because they identify something with something in you they don't like about themselves and take it out on you.
Smile always. It's remarkable the effect it can have on those around you, you can change a persons entire day with a compliment.
Consider one last point I offer to you, if I said 9 great things about you to your face then said something horrible, which do you walk away and remember?
Think of negativity deservedly requiring a kick in the balls whenever it presents itself.
Best wishes
Wrong in so many ways and I'm sorry to hear it. You have the upper hand because you haven't sunk to her level and I have a feeling that she wouldn't behave like that again anyway. What to do is always so much easier to decide when you've had time to think about it. I had a similar experience seventeen years ago with an endocrinologist at High Wycombe General (names, no lawyers required LOL). He didn't ask me what exercise I did, what food I ate and just proceeded to have a go at me for being fat and lazy and eating too many take aways. Evidently he had had a patient who was like that so we must all be the same. The PILLOCK.. . . . she told me that I was going to die in a couple of years as my results weren't very good and that I was going on medication which would make me feel full and a bit bloated but that was a good thing as it would stop me eating a lot ,she was quite nasty.
