saw the diabetic nurse this morning and she gave me an over haul
she is still unhappy with my BS levels, and i,m too see her again on the 24th september
shes going to speak to my gp about supplying me with a monitor
hopefully he agrees as it will save me buying the test strips and needles

Good news on the meter.

Didn't she make any positive comments on the progress you have made at all?

TBH I was expecting you move onto insulin from what your medical team have said. Are you putting off the decision to the 24th?
It's possible all the support, encouragement and well done, we give you when you have a fasting of 10-12 may not be in your best interest.

jack412, the nurse didn,t mention insulin but i will ask on the 24th
to be honest i don,t want to go on insulin but will do if my gp says i need it

andbreathe, the diabetic nurse did say well done in getting my BS levels down

Good news about the meter Ally. That will save you some money, but make sure they prescribe you enough strips and not just a measly few or you will still end up having to buy your own.

Keep going, and keep reducing those carbs if you can.

Thank goodness she recognised your work.

didn't the Dr want you to go onto insulin when they put up your oral drugs..or am I confusing you with someone else...sorry if I have

getting your BG to 6 fasting and under 8 with a decent plate of veg, with meds, doesn't stop trying to get it down through LCHF, so you can reduce them
that's what I'm trying to do with still taking my 1500 met

Everyone just wants the best for you, as you do yourself.
see how your numbers go, they may suggest just a little background basal insulin added to your meds, because your low carb after meal numbers aren't spiking that much higher than your before meal numbers. so that is working for you.

thank you jack, i can,t test at the moment as my codefree meter isn,t working and have ordered another one
