diabetic retinopathy screening test

Hi everyone. I've received a letter from the diabetic retinopathy screening test centre inviting me to book an appointment to have the test done. All my details including my nhs number are correct on the letter but as far as I am aware I am not diabetic as ive never been informed i am. I phoned my gp surgery (they checked my details against those on the letter) and explained my concerns. Was told someone would ring me back but they haven't. Incase anyone is wondering why I haven't chased it back up its because I am a support worker and work during surgery hours which makes it difficult to call them unless I have a rare day off. Should I be worried by this letter or could it be a mistake, thanks in advance for any replies

You should only get a letter if you are on the register. I think it's a mistake.
If like me you have to book an appointment, then I wouldn't bother.
Wait for your surgery to ring you.
Hope that helps.

Hmm I think it's a mistake too, obviously a very silly one, they should ring you back but if you get chance try call again just to put your mind at ease x

I've rang them, it is a mistake. Surgery said the sent my details and shouldn't have. Dr wants to see me to apologise....probably doesn't want reporting to cqc for sending my personal information....Make you wonder how many more mistakes slip through the net and could potentially cost someone their life....thanks for the replies
