People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
GP's are not happy regarding new targets being set for them regarding diabetics.

There is an article in the pulsetoday.co.uk website of which some GP's are saying that they will just do bare minimum checks for us diabetics in the future if the targets set do not change. If a patient doesn't bring in an annual wee specimen along with all the other annual other checks, GP's will be penalised.

I cannot get the link up here, and you have to join up to the website I think to view the article. However it is well worth signing up as you can see better information for any health matters and nhs changes than what you read or hear in the media.

I know most of us here want to look after ourselves, so will get their annual checks done. However, some GP's may be facing penalties of payments for diabetics that don't.. Especially wee tests, I always forget mine!

They face a battle to keep their fundings because everything is so target driven now. There are a lot of diabetics that do not hit their hba1c guideline targets etc.. and do not have their reviews etc.

I'm not pro GP's, just wanting us to all be aware that NICE and QOF targets etc and all the things the Gp's have to do to get their funding is changing and that this will no doubt have further impact for any patients with a classified critical illness that needs annual check ups.
