Diabetics R Us

Hi are you near Sneek? My cousin lives there. Used to sail there. My husband Patrick was a sailing fanatic. Unfortunately I am windowed now & live with my youngest son in W. Sussex. They have a 3 year old who keeps me entertained. Meals are cooked for me as I am disabled, they are very strict with my diabetes type 2 though! Miss Holland, coming back next summer, have rented a house near Apeldoorn again. Are you type 2? Haven't been much on the forum although I like to read all the comments!
Not too near Sneek, although I'm there a couple of times a year when sailing :) Sounds like you have a wonderful family taking really good care of you! I'm most likely not type2 but type1/LADA. Not completely sure though.
I hope you'll be very happy in Apeldoorn.

Freinds, the tears are rolling down my cheeks. If you are in need of a good old laugh this lass will provide it. Enjoy!

The dogs think I finally lost it completely.
And I just sent this to a friend and I just know she's going to watch this in the bus on her way back home. She'll probably hate me for embarrassing herself with unstoppable laughing in public transport :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Well diabetic eye test went well today drops stung a bit, the lady who did the test said everything looked good and no problems that she could see, so now just got to wait for a letter confirming that. :)
Snap!! I had mine today as well - all ok and the chap doing the test was impressed that I have maintained my hba1c in the 30s for over 4 years

A hug comes always in handy, thanks! I'll store it for hard times :)
Well, that was fast. Do you have some sort of foresight, @heh ?
I just used up your hug after stepping barefoot on a slug in my kitchen!
Really, why is it on my kitchen floor, and exactly where I put my foot :sour: ?

Anyone know how you get flattened slug remains from your feet? It stays slimey, even after soap, water and scouring sponge for dirty pans.
