Diabetics R Us

It was more funny than bad, although it gave me instant nightmarish phantasies about trying to get the cat to eat sweets, getting it to allow me testing it's bg multiple times, driving off to the vet right after having injected for a pretty carby meal and administering a glucagon shot to an unwilling cat.
Too bad it didn't hurt it's paw on the needle, would have been a good lesson not to interfere when I'm fiddling with my insulin pen :P

Trying to administer ANYTHING to an unwilling cat could have a human driving off to the emergency room (human not vet) for stitches and a tetanus shot! :D

The montage of images your post started running across my mind's eye had me laughing out loud.

But I have wondered the same sort of things about the KittenCat. WhatifWhatifWhatifWhatif .....

I just got my knights and baronets confused on another thread and now I'm sitting here palming my forehead ...

I think my tetanus is still up to date, and I own a sterile stapler which I have wanted to try out for years...
Bought it after the second time my dog needed staples (both times during the weekend) and I figured if I only needed in once it would already be cheaper than the vet. Obviously the dog has never needed staples again.
I did need a couple of stitches a few years back but of course I didn't have my stapler with me. And besides, I needed a tetanus shot as well.
So now I'm hoping for a smallish injury some time in the not too near future so I can try out if the thing actually works.

The XL sons have got home made apple crumble and custard. There's no loyalty in this family... tut!

Be careful what you hope for!

Very well thank you, just enjoyed a cognac & tonic.

Been shopping today for wallpaper, paint & light fittings for the hall, stairs & landing :)

Good id3a but I'm so glad all the decorating is finished here. Next time I'm going to get a little man in.

Wow, just had a diabetic meltdown I think. Diabetes didn't want to behave like I expected and I called my aunt to complain in a funny way.
Well, I didn't. What happened was I burst out in tears, being very angry and sad about diabetes, about having 2 dead parents I obviously can't call anymore and about diabetes forcing me to turn off the gas and delay cooking.
Oh, and it's first day of my period (never wanted to be a woman anyway, so both hormones and not wanting to recognise their effect working agaist me) which probably was at the base of my outburst.

Phone call with aunt was pretty much perfect, and I feel a bit better by now. Still want to either hit something or hide in a quiet corner though. And don't want my dinner anymore, even though I spend a lot of work on it and it's very tasty, I think.

Was the C&T because you found the perfect everything to go together and now you have to look forward to putting it all up? Or because you didn't and now you have to go start again?

If because you've found everything, we need pics, please!

@Antje77 I hope you're getting a peaceful night's sleep. I think I may have had something similar to yours, only mine put me to sleep on the sofa for a couple of hours. It's really kinda scary especially since I'd already had a long nap this morning after breakfast. So I think it's something I'm eating, because tonight's nap followed supper. I'm trying to look at it as, well, OK, I woke up, I feel well, and it's not like there was anything good on TV anyway. But it's weird to go to fall asleep watching one program and wake up to a completely different one.

I wish I had an aunt to call. I have a cousin with whom I text occasionally, but now that he's got some of his kids and maybe grandkids living with him again he doesn't text a lot. For awhile we were having long text conversations now and then, which was nice.

Good morning everyone. Wrap up if you're off out, the Met Office is predicting -16 in some areas. Brrrr!

Morning all

Lovely and sunny here but cold

I have a not so little man who does all that for me at extremely low rates.
He's my grandson.

He laid laminate flooring through out the house, hung wallpaper, installed light fittings laid the garden patio out with paving slabs he is a treasure.

Before he decided on going to Uni he did a load of courses at the construction college including brick laying, electrical installation, painting and decorating and carpentry.

Oh forgot the plumbing course city in guilds certificates from all courses
