Diabetics R Us

Evening all.
Back from our lovely weekend away. We went for a pub lunch and I was angelic - grilled plaice, peas & grilled tomato, & a side salad. The weather was great, went for a couple of walks. On the way home today we went to Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens.

Night night all.

Morning all! First day of the school holidays and I woke up early and got out of bed at 6am - why???? Still, it's a beautiful sunny day and my son is at home too so a nice walk is in order. Hope you all have a super day - updates later please.

But in a way a forum for T1 and T2 can be confusing to a newly diagnosed diabetic. Some things are common for both groups but others are very specific. For example a Hypo is very important to a T1 but much less common for a T2.

Morning all. How come the only green in my lawn is dandelions? Answers on a postcard, please.

Hello and welcome to the forum. The one thing we all have in common is a need for support and place to find a sympathetic ear whatever health/life challenges we may face. In this informal little corner of the forum we can learn from each other about the daily problems that we all have to master no matter what our condition. For example, I have learned from the comments in this thread that hypos are far, far more common than I had previously realised.

Hello and welcome, @Nad 2 .
This particular thread is for everyone, just so there can be general chat, and support for every member.
There are lots of sub forums for specific queries, but even if someone gets confused about where to post they only need to ask, and someone will help. I hope you will be able to find your way around without too much difficulty. Have you seen the info from @daisy1, yet? She will post it here soon now I have tagged her.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen

Good morning Cumbs. Anything nice planned for yourself and Mrs. Cumbs today?
I plan a busy day of trying to scare off a new tomcat from pooing in my garden. It's all go, isn't it?

Buy a tape of a barking dog to play and scare the cat and upset the neighbours
Carol

There's always cat pepper.
Does it work? I used to have one of those gizmos that emitted a high pitched sound inaudible to most people which worked but it used to just eat batteries so I gave up on that one.

I have used it in the past and it seemed to work, of course there is no harm in buying some and trying it out it's not that expensive if it works great if not then look at alternatives. When our dog Sox barks it tends to clear the garden of intruder cats but they do return after a while. Biut if you have a dog barking all hours then people living round you tend to get annoyed. Even if its only a recording.

Thanks. I do not have pets but my neighbour has an hysterical mongrel that does bark and we have erm..... had words about this. I will try the cat pepper.
