Diabetics R Us

You could always give it a go. If nothing else, the concentration required to remain perpendicular could take your mind off the pain.

Honestly, though. Don't be overly brave with it, just in case you have a dry socket. That can be a nasty thing, and would require attention.
I love learning new words (and many new words and phrases learned (learnt?) thanks to this forum) so I googled both perpendicular and dry socket. I prefer perpendicular if I get a choice. If only because of the nasty taste of the other.
Won't be overly brave, promise! But today, it's sunday night with a fat hangover, so no need to worry about dry sockets until tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up, though, @DCUKMod !

Good evening from a cold winters night in Tasmania Australia. Predicting a snowfall tonight but the fire place is roaring away. Off to bed soon as had a miserable nights sleep if any last nite. Take care all.:joyful:

Good afternoon, Duckies. We have had a pathetic, couple of showers and I am not impressed with the Met Office. Pfft!

@Antje77 how’s the tooth - or lack of. Hope you went back to the dentist and they sorted you out. I had a tooth out a couple of weeks ago and spent the following weekend in hospital on IV antibiotics due to a rather large abscess caused by the neighbouring tooth which had become infected.

Still sore, but better than yesterday, although still on max paracetamol and ibuprofen. Made a phone call to the dentist, who said the pain is still within normal limits and should get slowly better by now (it does) and to call back if it doesn't, if I get a horrible taste in my mouth or if I don't trust it. I added to that that I would call back also if my bg should suddenly shoot up, upon which he laughed and agreed. He recognised my scanning my Libre right away when he was about to pull the teeth, so I suppose he has someone close with diabetes, which somehow made me feel a lot safer while having my teeth extracted.
For now, I believe it's healing, as it feels a little better and looks real good :)

Evening all. Back from our long, wet weekend away in the motorhome. We had a good weekend despite the weather.

@Antje77 sorry to hear you are having problems after the tooth extraction.

Very tired tonight so I think it will be an early night.

Morning all

Feeling refreshed after my early night. Back to work today after our long weekend but only 10 more sleeps until we cross the Channel again :D

Have a good day.

H :)

Good morning Duckies, you will be glad to hear that I am studiously ignoring the weather forecast and instead I will be sticking me leg out of the front door to guage the chances of rain today. :arghh:

No need for me to stick my leg out - I can see it’s still raining where I am in Cornwall.
I only bought t shirts, sandals and floaty skirts down with me - rookie error in these parts!
Rule of thumb in Cornwall is never to go out without wellies and a mac.
