Let your diabetic team know. They have some specialist staff. Mine was great. So, I'm a 18 year old diabetic. Type 1 since I was 7. Mine's genetic and for the longest time I cared about keeping myself healthy. Now however I really don't. I switch around my injection sites every time I take medicine. Though at this point I'm tired of feeling like a pin cushion. It hurts taking insulin and nothing seems to be helping me get my A1C back to normal. I'm not as motivated as I used to be. I'm wondering if any of you guys have gone through this or are going through it now?
I find it quite strange that she has been diagnosed as type 1 especially at her age and has been prescribed metformin she has been refereed to a specialist she has as I said been losing a lot of weight which has been giving me cause for concern and has not been well at all with loss of apatite and unable to get warm.will just have to wait and see what the diabetic specialist says.I guess they may be reluctant to give her insulin if no support. However only insulin may be needed but metformin.... is strange!
How did she manage to walk out of appointment without insulin. Oh many have a honeymoon period so manage a little without insulin.
I lose weight on high bgs and no insulin.
(No op if high thou so I cannot resolve required loss on high bgs.)
I guess only her specialist knows what's going on but no help to her really, eh @JohnEGreen ?
On a lighter note, I was at the fair today, and we went into the mirror maze with the four of us. I was the last to go in but came out firstThe man in the ticket-booth asked through the microphone if I had been using GPS or something, upon which I showed him my Libre sensor and said: 'Hush. Not GPS but...'
Yup. Sure can!Can your CGM make you do this?
Maybe better not. You'd probably scare your neighbours badly if you suddenly started to pull tricks like this squirrell in your garden...Then where do I sign?
Hello peeps
Sunny up here
Had an appointment with my neuwrologist that is as apposed to my old neurologist.. And the out come unlike the old neurologist he has suggested that I increase my prednisolone as he puts it as I already have the side effects it would be best to have the effect as well. Can't fault his logic. So will have to see what happens with blood sugars last time everything went hay wire.

It appears that there is to be a mini heatwave / Indian summer next week or so. Fingers crossed for you.Off on holiday tomorrow. We are going to Northumberland for a week. Our previous holiday went belly up when the car broke down 7 miles in to our journey. Fingers crossed we make it this time.
I love Northumberland especially the beaches and castles. Let me know if you find the car keys I lost on the beach at Amble 25 years ago!We are going to Northumberland for a week.
