You can come and help us to saw some wood for the fire .John wields the chain saw (I am not to be trusted with anything sharp !!) And I stack the wood ,good for the BGs rubbish for the back !Another lovely day, morning everyone. I have not been invited to a party

We took our daughter and son-in-law out for a meal last night. I had an evening off from low carb. Garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce with a slice of crunchy bread; steak and ale pie in rich gravy with hand cut chips (left all the pastry), few veggies, and battered onion rings; 5 cheeses with biscuits, butter and chutney; coffee with cream. As we also consumed vast amounts of red wine from arrival to leaving (4 hours) I got away with it at bedtime. BS was 5.3. Fasting this morning was well up on normal at 6.2. the highest I have been in over 4 years but back to normal before lunch. All in all, pretty pleased and an excellent evening was had by all, although feeling a little fragile and frail today due to the wine no doubt.

I have a feeling that there will be no low carb options on the board tonight so am having the day off will count the cost tomorrow.

Went to the pharmacy to collect my repeat RX today and ended up having the flu jab as well administered by my local friendly pharmacist hardly felt a thing bit sore now though.
