Diagnosed with Type 1 two weeks ago today!

Hi all,
Thanks for reading this post. I've been newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, so I am trying to get my head around everything! I am a Brit living in Germany, so it has been especially a lot to get my head around, especially in German!

I have just fitted the FreeStyle Libre, and although it felt a bit weird at first, it is so helpful to see what is happening with my BG constantly (I'm trying not to get obsessed with checking it though).

Are there any other Brits living in Germany on here? I'd love to connect

Hi and welcome to the forum....i don't live in Germany but have a few type 1 friends that are German and Live in Germany and speak excellent English. I will message you with further info.

Have you tried the "other" forum?
I know there is at least one very active T1 living in Germany who contributes to https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/

It is interesting to compare his experience. For example, Libre 3 seems to be more commonly available in Germany since last year.
