April 2014. It was a massive shock but since being put on insulin, I'd felt the best I had done for a long time:)

I wasn't shocked, but more relived and like you, I felt and looked so much better after being given Insulin, it was a life saver :)

A life saver indeed!

As I'd just spend 4 months on an oil tanker working in a 50degC engine room, I'd forgotten what was 'normal' for far too long. I'm gutted that my rapid T1 onset wasn't during my time off as I would have then picked up on the symptoms quicker.

I am still to feel a better sensation than having electrolytes and insulin pumped into me after so long feeling like death:)

December 1994 diagnosed Tyoe 2 as a result of a new job medical. I have no idea when the symptoms really started . Feel I am doing ok on LCHF diet, and furious that I have not been helping myself all these years by eating the wrong food
