I usually only eat half an apple. share with T1. I love Pink Lady apples which are probably quite high in sugar and are fairly big. I might well eat a whole "fun sized" one of a different variety.
Note I don't let my BG go above 6 if I can possibly help it 8) . I did check on my meter and there's one 6 there a couple of weeks ago, when I must have been careless. Essentially, I try to keep in the 4s. I have been diagnosed 6 years and was warned that since T2 is progressive  , I would need to increase my medication over time. I haven't! I'm using less than after diagnosis. 3 x Metformin 500 per day. I did have Gliclazide at the beginning and Starlix for a while. I still have a stash of Starlix, which I could use if I got things wrong. ( yes I do look at Use by dates, but haven't needed it anyway.)
I am tempted to try a few days with nothing, but it's actually pointless. HbA1c is due in 4 weeks and Metformin has other beneficial effects on blood vessels.
