It seems I am the kind of person who needs to be monitored/weighed whilst losing weight. I have just finished a prescribed 12 week exercise program from the docs and did really well. Since that has finished I have been struggling and feel a bit cast adrift. I am looking to join a diet club but am struggling to find one which uses a low carb option. I know I can join some of the others and adapt them but am looking for advice and tips specifically relating to low carb. I can only eat a max of 30g per meal and usually keep it less than that depending on exercise or I go to sleep. No option I can't stay awake.

Does anybody do a diet club and if so which one ??

Not personally but my wife joined Slimming World a few years back where there was a chap with type 2 diabetes who lost 5 stone, the course leader did say to my good lady that they do adapt the Slimming World diet to cater for diabetics......but unsure if it would be suitable for you being a low-carber, that said no harm in ringing up and asking them!

Hi

If you fancy an online diet buddy I would keep you company. Save some money too.

Can you get af riend to lose weight with you? or make a chart that you display somewhere[ as in the kitchen] Record losses and hopefully no gains, not actual weights.

My wife has joined a club called weight care which involves low carb diet. She's doesn't have diabetes, However I do and I follow the same plan. Hope this helps.

I did Slimming World years ago and lost 47 lbs. did 'Red Days' which limited my carbs. Mind you, put it back on when I stopped eating that way. Now struggling to lose 30 lbs, am thinking of cutting down my carbs generally to see if this helps me start losing .i know what you mean about needing help and motivation. Cathy, type 1. 40 yrs! Whoo Hoo.
