diet drinks awareness

I watch out for sugar free squash that does not contain E951 Aspartame.

I have been aware of this nasty additive since 1996, and that is one of the reasons why I have not drunk Coca-Cola as it is an ingredient.

I tend to go for no added sugar squash and soda water.
I only put enough squash in to slightly flavour the soda water, but it is a refreshing drink. :D

Even when out for a drink I can usually get blackcurrant & Soda water at most places, although I know the blackcurrant may have sugar in it, it is only a small amount of juice that the bar staff usually put in.

I was looking at the no sugar squashes in Tesco tonight after a comment on here somewhere, and found many had aspartame in anyway, so i though 'may as well have diet coke'. Some also had 1.7 or more carbs per 100 mls (and of course I wouldn't have 100 mls in a diluted drink) but I bought one that was only 0.7 and will try it, just to alternate with the diet coke. But if anyone can tell me the name of a specific no-sugar, low-carb dilutable squash with no aspartame in, I would be interested. Anyone? It's very tedious reading every single label!
