Don't eat the pitta, my friend! I was in the same boat on Saturday night after more than a few drinks and I still managed to remember not to eat the pitta. My Fasting Blood Glucose Reading was 9.9 Millimoles Per Litre this morning at 7:05 am. I think that the main precipitating factor for this is because I very foolishly consumed a very substantial lamb doner kebab and the pitta bread was high in complex carbohydrates. And I'd already perfected my glycaemia to 6.3 Millimoles Per Litre just before consuming the kebab meal. This is a perfect example how I'm struggling insurmountably with my type II diabetes mellitus although in past days I've achieved optimum fasting blood glucose readings.
To work out what impacts your blood sugar, you need to log what you eat, how much you eat, and test (before the first bite, at 1 hour, 2 hours, and (if 2 hours is higher than 1 hour) at 3 hours. You'll find out the culprits pretty quickly.I'm newly diagnosed and struggling to work out what sends my sugars high, bread and porridge seems to be the biggest culprits. when I was diagnosed I had a blood sugar level of 24 now I'm averaging between 8 and 11 depending on activity level and what ive eaten. I have had my sugars as low as 5 and I felt ill but have been told its probably because ive been so used to having really high levels.
Hi JBBlood Glucose Reading at 9:16 am:- 6.8 Millimoles Per Litre.
I had 2 mugs of tea made with 2 Tetley tea-bags, 1 x 5 ml spoonful of Coffee-Mate and 2 Silver Spoon 0 Calories artificial sweeteners and 4 glasses of tap water and 1 medium-sized bowl of brussel sprouts oweing to financial problems due to susceptibility to financial abuse and a corporate appointeeship of my disability benefits. I have Asperger Syndrome and ADHD as well as type II diabetes mellitus.
