Hello, i have just started using libre2 and have noticed if i scan with the app and the reader at the same time, the readings are different, for example 7.1 on the app and 7.4 on the reader, is this normal?

I was told you can only use ur phone or the reader not both.
That is not completely true.
You only get alerts on the device you started the sensor with. However, if you start it with the reader, you can also scan with the app. The opposite is not true.

With regards to the variation, info not know why but given the accuracy of Libre, I would not be concerned by a difference of 0.3.

Hi,

I'm in a slightly different position where as i have two different apps running in tandem on my device One reading the sensor the other using a "Bluetooth bridge." (Don't ask i just never picked a favourite?)

One will update a little quicker than the other? 0.3Mmol difference is great.
Normally, i'm happy with my BG meter being within 0.6Mmol

So if you start the sensor with the reader you get alerts on the reader, but can still use your phone to scan. When you upload the reader to libra view does it then sync both sets of information?

I’ve just started my first L2 sensor today, also happened to get a new phone on Saturday so scanned it with my phone thinking life would be easier. But then realise I liked the reader because if I do a finger prick test the info is all in one place. The switch over isn’t going to be as satisfying as I thought.

That is correct - you get alerts on the reader only if you start the sensor with the reader.
When you scan with your phone, the readings are automatically uploaded but I have no idea whether the reader with be scynched with it.
Perhaps a reader user will be able to answer that.

For this sensor you are stuck with using your phone only.
But, for your next sensor, if you remember to start it with your reader, the switch will be fine and dandy.

Difference is due to the fact they can tweak the algorithm in the phone to give more accuracy.

So the have tweaked it a little but the reader has not been updated
