Hi all, happy new year!

I have just downloaded the glimp app and am getting differing numbers between glimp and librelink, for example glimp is showing me at 6.4, librelink 9.0 and a blood test showed 7.9. Is it usual for two apps using the same libre to show such different results?

Yes as they are using different algorithms to work out the BG value

And a Happy New Year to you

I find Glimp more accurate than LibreLink.
As @porl69 mentions, it uses a different algorithm.
This algorithm takes into consideration any finger prick readings you have entered into the app which, for me, is great because the factory calibration of the Libre does not match my body's calibration.
As the finger pricks are plotted on the Glimp graphs, it gives me more confidence in the readings I am getting from the sensor. I just have to remember the Libre is about 15 minutes behind the finger prick.

In case you have not worked how to add calibration readings (it took me a while and I don't think it is intuitive):
- click on the "+" at the top of the graph screen
- enter as much information as you want with BG reading going in the "Glucose" field. I don't bother with anything else
- click on the floppy disk icon at the top of the screen

I've not used Glimp, but wanted to say that when I've used a CGM that needed calibration, the timing of the calibration is quite important and so do it when your BG levels have been good and stable for a while, I assume this would also be the case for glimp as well?

Thanks all, very helpful. I hadn't realised that glimp could be calibrated, will get on that.

Also worth being aware that the Libre sensor produces a number of pieces of data, including sensor value, temperature and a noise adjustment factor. Glimp only uses the sensor value, which means that even though it can be calibrated, that can also result in values that aren't what you're expecting.

I find Glimp gives more accurate results than the Libre link app, but as Helensaramay says you should calibrate it
