Different settings, i.e work days and days off, etc

Just wondered if people tended to have different settings for when they are in work and then when they are off?

I work part time ~ I have 4 days in work and 3 days off. However, as I work in education, I also have all the holidays.

I've only been on the pump 3 wks (the first 2 wks I was off work) and my BG levels were actually very stable and in a good range. As soon as I was back at work I suffered a ridiculous amount of hypos in a matter of a few days.

I was hoping for a return to stability this weekend but have just had random highs and lows.

I have not done any basal testing as of yet, but tbh, I'm dreading it as I'm going to have to account for days when I'm in and also off work. My DSN said I will probably need different settings

Does anyone else have different settings such as this? Do you find it a struggle to work it all out?

I'm just a little bit worried that I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed

Take a nice big breath and breath. Take one day at a time and you will be fine.
Yes you will need two sets of basal patterns as you have already discovered. Getting the setting right will obviously take a bit longer but worth while in the end.
As you have already discovered hypos at work perhaps worth considering reducing your basal on a work day pattern whilst things slot into place.
Everyone without exception suddenly feels overwhelmed when starting to pump. Hey your normal :)

I work random shifts so I can't have set patterns. However, my diabetes team suggested I try reducing my basal temporarily whilst at work. I do a temporary basal of 50% and keep an eye on my blood sugars. That works for me. But obviously keep testing as much as you can and you'll find what works best for you.

It will take time but you'll get there. I need more basal on weekends than weekdays.

I have separate ones for days off and working days. I switch over anytime between 6 and 9pm the night before. I also have different rates for when hubby works Am Shifts or PM shifts as getting up times are 3 hours different and my waking up needs at least double doses. If I don't swap I will be high or low at certain times.
