I am 78 I have recently lost about 12lbs and weigh in at 16.0stone, I am 6ft tall,
l have recently been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and have been put on digoxin (125) and edoxoban (60mg).
No problems other than my insulin levels are going crazy
Before these medications i used 58/60 insulin units per day and 2000mg metformin.
Since going on the these meds i am increasing my insulin and now use 85/86 a day and have added 500mg metformin at lunchtime.
One other observation, I never eat after my evening meal which is about 6.00pm and I have noticed ton a couple of occasions hat my glucose levels either stay the same or increase the following morning
I have spoken to the GP about this and he does not seem concerned telling me just to increase insulin
Obviously it concerns me I have managed to control my diabetes for nearly 30 years and my HBaic has never been higher than 7.0
Is it possible to let me know if this is a common phenomena and advise if I could take any action which might help.
