My 2.5 year old son was diagnosed with Type 1 in December 2015 and began receiving DLA at the higher rate in April 2016. I only recently learned that it can affect Tax Credits (generally positively) but I keep getting different answers from all over the place, including HMRC. We are only eligible for the Child element of Tax credits (assisting with childcare costs) and was wondering if anyone else in this or a similar situation may be able to help me to understand it all. We've recently renewed our Tax Credits and have also received one of those "prove your costs" things from Concentrix which will undoubtedly hold everything up.
