Hi folks
Haven’t posted in a while but still here!
Had a cardiology appointment today … follow up from various tests I had at beginning of the year.
All good news on the heart front TG but I was disappointed with doctors attitude towards my diabetes T2. My last HBA1C was 49 and he couldn’t understand why I wasn’t on medication…. He repeatedly said that was a dangerously high number. While I know it is in diabetic range my own GP was happy for me not to be on meds as I had significantly reduced it it this on my own.
I’m due another test soon but my own testing at home is showing an estimated Hba1c of about 44.
Ive also got my cholesterol down to 5.3 again I know a bit higher than should be… he wanted to write to my Gp to advise need meds for diabetes and statins ASAP
Since beginning of year I’ve lost almost 4 stone, walking 5/6 days a week trying to eat as healthy as I can … with the odd fall of the wagon …. But I left the hospital today feeling deflated
A bit of encouragement from the medical professionals would go a long way …. Just to even acknowledge we are going in the right direction even if we have a bit more to do
Rant over ….
