Me too! And I'm glad you asked the question. T2, you don't need to test, my DN did admit it was because the NHS can not afford to pay for T2's. I have got a Codefree and I am so glad I can see what happens to my blood glucose levels.Yes, bought a Code-free tester, lancets and strips.
When I enquired about testing I was told that they would not provide the equipment for type 2's and that it is not recommended for them to test. She also insisted that I eat at least 5 portions of carbs each day. (I didn't listen to that either, shhhh).

I work with addicts and we have a needle exchange but it is not where I come under anyway and not really within their policy so I want somewhere near me. So my chemist, which I always use should be able to give me one and take it back?
