Hello
Please can anyone help, i have pre diabetes but have recently started to get very dizzy when i wake up and through out the day, i can be sitting walking or bending then my head feels really heavy and go dizzy, my vision is also blurry even with my glasses on, i regularly take finger pricks and they are all within the normal range 5.5-5.6 before meals and normally about 6.7-8 two hours after.
My blood pressure is normal 130/70 72 pulse, i have been cutting down on food, i have list 1 stone 9lbs in 9 weeks and have been feeling fine with it until the last couple of weeks.
Is this normal to feel this bad?
Not sure wether to see doc or not.
Many thanks
Julie

Dizziness can be down to any number of things, sometimes things have nothing to do with our diabetes. We can’t diagnose or give medical advice on the forum, your best course of action is to get it checked out by your GP

I’m having a very similar experience. Pre diabetic, lost 11lbs in 8 weeks due to very low carb diet, also dizzy & have to be careful I don’t pass out. I’m not at all hungry, it’s really strange.
I’m basically writing it all down and if it carries on I’m going to see the doctor (I’m also peri menopausal).
Hope yours sorts itself out or the doctor gives you some good advice.

Hi Niki
Im the same regarding menopausal i wasnt sure if it had something to do with that, i have my phone call with my diabetic nurse on thursday so hopefully she may be able to help.
Is your weight loss intentional? I have been cutting down since i found out im not doing low carb maybe thats the problem, hope to find out thursday all the best i will let you know what she says keep up the good work.
Julie
