Dizziness with high sugar levels

I have had type 2 diabetes for 12 yrs, treated with 2 metformin tabs per day. am 81 yrs old, not on any diet, and I haven't checked sugar level for 6 months. Today I woke up feeling ill and disorientated, on checking sugar level it was very high. what should I do now ?

If it's high and you're having symptoms from it, you need to talk to your doctor at least. If you can't get in quickly, it might be a good idea to get taken to the hospital. Disorientation is a symptom that needs to be taken seriously.

How high was it, and has it come down at all?

Your symptoms don't sound safe to me. Did you call a doctor?
