Has anyone felt or been dizzy whilst taking Metformin?
I had a bout of dizziness and actually passed out while sitting minding my own business on the sofa. Gp tested for stroke etc, then sent me to A&E, after waiting 2 hours (not bad I know) I saw the nurse who advised waiting to see the Doc for blood tests and the results. Needless to say I wasn't going to take up any more of their time or mine. I wouldn't have got back home til half 10 at night.
I stopped the Met and it seemed to have cleared up for a week or two. Nurse at GP diabetic review said to start taking them again because my levels were up. A week later ie. now I've got the dizziness back. Its not pleasant.

Try another option apart from metformin, may be an SR version.
Are you taking any other medication as well?
Have you checked your bloods when feeling dizzy?
I was having the same issue and still have it at times but my a1c is non diabetic and i am not on metformin anymore and I do feel better than when I was taking it.
