Not sure if this is related to being a T1 diabetic , but I have been getting a lot of dizzy spells recently and they are getting worse.

I check my BS after them and it's always been normal.

It happens when I have been sitting for a while and then get up, in the worse cases my knees start buckling and have to hold on to something to stop myself falling. It doesn't seem to correlate to exercise , this weekend i've done nothing and am still getting them.

I've read this could be heart related , anyone else experienced this?

I want to arm myself with information before going to the doctor , so as I am not palmed off with the first thing he thinks of :)

I've had similar episodes even fainting and hitting the floor, my Doc is meaning towards autonomic neuropathy which can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure. He has written to my consultant who I'm seeing next month.

Knowing others Won't learn from my mistakes, Being TERMINALLY ILL !
See your GP, or your Diabetic Team as soon as you can, Don't panic, but this does sound like a problem that needs sorting very quickly, and as Morganator said it might possibly relate to Autonomic Neuropathy, a serious complication of Diabetes,

I Will send you a short PM,

Please get this checked, ASAP,

Best Wishes
