Hello, I've only been T1 for only 3 years (diagnosed at 40!). I've been feeling unwell the last couple of days, exhausted and not quite right. Blood sugars seem fine as does my ketones stick result. I do have fybromalgia so it could be a flair up but was wondering if all my levels are ok could I still have DKA or would it only be if ketones show in your urine and high sugar levels

Thank you in advance

As the KA in DKA is ketoacidosis, I do not believe it is possible to have DKA without ketones.
There are many reasons why we can feel exhausted and not quite right. Like you, I am often quick to blame diabetes but it is not always the cause - people without diabetes sometimes feel the same way.

I hope you find out what the problem is and get your mojo back soon.

Hi @AFR75 if your blood glucose levels are fine and so are your ketones then you won’t be in DKA. It sounds like your fibromyalgia could be the cause but as i’m not a Doctor it would be worthwhile just getting a check up at your GP’s to rule out anything else.
