DN pleased with my latest results but wasn't very happy about me doing LCHF and said that I had to have carbs with every meal. I just smiled sweetly. She started to mention my cholesterol levels but I countered her with explaining that my triglycerides were lower and my LDL was........., she interrupted me and said you obviously know more about that me. She didn't check my feet and I forgot to ask her but they feel alright to me. Why is it that when I go to the surgery my blood pressure goes through the roof, it was 170/something, I've never had a figure that high before so I am to record my BP twice a day for a week and return to the surgery. It's normally 125/67 give and take. When asked she said that she only had 1 other patient with figures take mine, perhaps they are following the NHS guidelines. She said that she will see me again on my birthday (July 2016) I will be going well before then as I want to keep an eye on my BG and cholesterol figures.

Hb1AC 97 7/3/15 55 10/7/15 49 28/10/15
Cholesterol 4.5 4.0 4.7
HDL 1.8 1.6 2.0
LDL 1.7 1.4 1.9
Triglyceride 2.2 2.2 1.8
Weight loss 1st 7lbs.

I would like to thank you one and all for all the help and information given, couldn't have done it without you, I would not have achieved this without you.
Love to you all, Carol.

:D Brilliant. Well done. An inspiration to us all.

White coat syndrome.... Medics and fear of them makes BP raise, my hubby was monitored for 48 hours and the only high reading was when he went back to have the device taken off! I'm same when go to my diabetic visit in hospital. When I went in for all my biopsies and mastectomy I took in adult colouring books and my BP kept really low.
I always thought laughter raised BP but apparently it lowers it. Strange as I laugh so much with my diabetic consultant but it always goes up into the 160 mark!

Well done you for convincing Nurse that the breakdown is better with your cholesterol.
