Do I have diabetes?

Hi. Have just registered as was hoping someone could help me understand results from blood tests please.

The result was:

4.9mmol/L

The lab said:

Random glucose levels =>11.1mmol/L are consistent with a diagnosed of diabetes.
Levels between 7.9mmol/L and 11.1mmol/L reflect impaired glucose.

Does anyone know what that means please. Thanks in advance for any replies. Xx
 
The lab results mean any reading above 11.1mmol/l you are diabetic
Readings between 7.9mmol/l and 11.1.mmol/l you are pre diabetic adjustments to you diet may lower the reading and reduce risk

At 4.9mmol/l you are not diabetic

Well, while you are here, you may as well check out some of the low carbers..? This could be of help to you in the long run??
You could not end up with an issue.? But a little self help may fill the "cup half full"...? ;)

What type ofbdiabetes runs in your family @Leah300 ?

I agree with the posters above. 4.9 is a normal non-diabetic result :)
