do i take medication or not

hi all type 2 diagnosed 8 weeks ago blood glucose 3.8 tea is cooking but due to have metformin after tea do i take it or wait 2hours after tea and see what glucose is first thanks

Hi. Metformin works quite slowly and the results will be seen over weeks not hours. It doesn't have a dramatic effect but does help if you are overweight. General advice is to take it with food (see leaflet). Take it anyway regardless of your 2 hour bs reading.
