is it my uti infection that keeps giving me recurring nightmares or? Yes, I've been having bad dreams. I thought I've moved on or sth, or its probably me just grieving? what's weird is that my nightmares actually give me tears in my sleep, if it sounded taboo then it's nothing I should be worried about but I'm exhausted then wakes up to urinate lol at around 3/4 am, wee in the morning.

the next morning, I became emotional and moody because its all true, long story short.

my dream is like:

**talking to self** You're turning 24 in few months then 25 in a year, though you've made small accomplishments, I know you're guilty about not getting into the college you wanted then also having wedding fever... You wanted to have a boyfriend like everybody else, you could, but you're just too afraid and it will always bring you back to your past. **and here, my dream takes me back to all memories of my loved ones that had passed away, then it whispers** Who needs you. Your high school needs saving.

Sounds pretty wild what you are going through! And thought also the whole story you explained was way over the top (to me, but clearly and obviously not for you). So I was wearing my sceptic hat for a few minutes when diving into medical databases. And sure enough, never say never... :)
A quick search on what UTI symptoms and observations was frequently made by UTI sufferers revealed that vivid/emotional dreaming is a frequent occurrence when having such type of infection. Just the situation of having the constant feeling of having to urinate all the time and not getting any long resting sleep in one go is enough to drive most people totally nuts. :wacky:
So hopefully you will see a fast recovery of your UTI which then subsequently also will help you get some better resting sleep and hopefully more sweet dreams also. Best wishes for your speedy recovery!

When my mum had UTI her behaviour changed drastically. It ranged from her being a school teacher to when she was in hospital she thought she given birth and we had stolen her baby. It was very traumatic for us all. Make sure you take the whole course of antibiotics and go back to yr GP if it still hasn't cleared up.

I've seen several people affected quite noticeably emotionally and mentally by UTIs, although I have to say they were much older than you, @teeekilicious18. My mother-in-law had violent dreams and became very vague and just not herself (in fact she was very weird!) - antibiotics soon brought her back to normal, so please go to your GP. UTIs can be quite stubborn to clear and may need a second course of antibiotics. Try and drink as much water/liquid as you are able to, that helps. I would also try and seek help if you can for your nightmare fears if, as you imply, they are possibly grounded in real life. Just talking to someone and getting things off your chest can make a big difference.
