The only reason the pump will be taken away is if you do not use it correctly and or your control does not improve. :)

Stop worrying, and enjoy your pump once you recieve it. :)

the waranty normal last for 4 yrs,you will then receive a new one.mine has just been ordered for me as its 4 yrs old.you may be asked to transfer onto the adult pump if they select a diffent one to the children dept in your hospital.i know at salisbury they have use a diffent pump.

You don't transfer to another pump until the warranty of your present pump is at an end.
Some PCT's have contracts with pump companies which allow a discount on the overall cost of the pump and consumables.
Depending on length of contact with the manufacture will determin who has what and when.
Some PCT's allow you to choose which ever pump you want. (Which is the correct way to do things)
There are no childrens or adult pumps. They are all the same. :)

i dont think you understood what i was saying carbsrok.

we only have one choice where i am and the dr`s in the children`s dept choose to use a diffent brand pump from the adult Dept. so what i mean is that the adult dept may ask them to change over to they brand pump.i dident mean that there was adult pumps and children pumps. :?

Hi Pump994, I didn't think you meant there were dif pumps for adults and children, but anyone not knowing about pumps might have thought so :)

As to changing over then the answer would be no not until the pump warranty has run out. The pct is not made of money so chucking away a £3,000 pump is not an option.
