Looking at threads on this site there seems to be a lot of doctors advice/opinions, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes after I reported nerve damage in my leg? I was sent for blood test over the phone (which I waited a week for appointment?) Got the result over the phone , never seen any doctor face to face, PS I have now pains in my stomach which keep me awake every night, plus losed 2 1/2 stone in weight which I guessing is a urinary infection, I sent off a stool sample and have a appointment for a blood test on the 29th may, this is the life of a diabetic living newhaven East Sussex

Hi @robin321, this is fairly normal.
You will find that you deal with a Diabetic Nurse not a Doctor.
Results are relayed over the phone, not a face to face appointment.

Discussing anything which requires the Doctors attention with the Diabetic nurse is pointless; they usually can not make an appointment for you. From my experience the diabetic practice is just there to keep track of how fast you fall apart. The have a small set of test to do this check weight, blood sugar levels etc....

Any thing you feel needs a consultation with a Doctor probably does.
Just go ahead an make the appointments for yourself.
