Doctors..if I swear..will I be banned from this forum..

Oh another thing came to my mind....the note said "...needs upping"...he didn't say make the appointment and come and see me...or contact me/nurse or anything like that. Does he think I just start popping the pills in larger quantity.. I can hardly change the prescription...or if I were to take current pills in double doze, they would run out in two weeks instead of intended re-issuing date once a month! If I would need these pills...I would have to start ringing up the surgery again and asking what does he intend me to do about it...
How stupid is that...they do make everything so complicated

I've never seen my GP for my diabetic checks - it's always been a 6 monthly visit to the diabetic nurse.

I too don't see my GP for diabetes things just the practice nurse. Mind you whn I had UTI problems, the GP (who had been requested to start dealing with my kidneys by the specialist) said " you know you should reall be seeing your specialist!" Cue request for me to return to specialist care.

I had over 18 months pass from when my first A1C of 50 odd was noted by my neurologist till my new GP actually acted on it since the first one called for by my neurologist I had another A1C done asked for at my request by neurologist again this time was 64 so basically was left to my own devices for over 18 months not a good thing generally but did mean as I knew I was diabetic I could devise my own treatment plan without the interference of medical health care professionals and in that I count my self as lucky though the retinopathy and neuropathy I have is not what I would of hoped for I can't but help think how much worse it could have been if I had not started low carbing and losing weight when I did some times doctors can be a hindrance..
