Does any one with diabetes have any heart problems?

I noticed I get palpitations a lot recently and bad chest pain too. I have been told I have an irregular heart beat I am waiting to get seen by a doctor as I was admitted last Thurs in hospital. Is their any thing I can do to try keep stress free. I spoke to my doctor earlier he's going to order me a monitor to wear not sure when that's going to happen as he's got to order it in . just waiting to here back from the doctors.

I too have experienced this myself , I had an operation 6 weeks ago and whilst there I had 3 hour obs and they said the machine was playing up but my heart fluttered and made the blood pressure machine play up? I feel like my heart is skipping a beat but talked to my surgeon and he said that what I was experiencing was a panic attacks ? Bloody scary but it felt real , not sure if this is the same as yourself but worth getting looked at xxx take care xxx look after yourself xx

A deficiency in magnesium can cause an irregular heartbeat. A few doses usually puts my heart back in rhythm. Magnesium helps to relax the muscles and the heart is a muscle. You know if you don't need it as it goes straight through!
