I don't know why but after injecting for months all of a sudden I've got a few of injecting again and all my injections seem to hurt cause bleeding and brushing my skin feel so sensitive lately the even touching my skin with the needle hurts?!
Has this happened to anyone else? How do you over come it?

The fear of injecting! http://wp.me/p5HUmY-s via @wordpressdotcom

Unfortunately it won't help matters if you are tense and uptight about the injection beforehand, I'm not too sure how you can overcome this but with regards to the discomfort make sure you use a new needle every-time Stephanie, have a word with your DSN and see if they can think of something that might help.

Thanks noble head I do use a fresh needle every time. I feel so silly and angry for fearing it. I'm booked in to see them this month hopefully they will have some useful tips

Don't be so hard on yourself Stephanie, your not the first to experience this and you won't be the last.

It's not a natural thing to do really so understandably some people have the exact same reaction, but, needs must. Pinching the skin loosely into a bubble will help, but, make sure you pinch an area of fat up to inject in.

I went through a little phase recently were every injection seemed to hurt and it was all down to the fact I was doing it slow! For the past few days I've just been resisting all urges and doing it fast and its all been fine

Glad it's not just me! I am so namby. I put the needle against my skin and kind of try to twist it in. I know it makes it worse, but I can't help myself. I think when an injection makes me bleed and bruise I get more nervous about it for a while and then every injection seems to hurt.

Smidge

Thanks for the advice everyone I do put the needle in slow which I shouldn't do but it's like a mental block from my brain telling me not to just get it over and done with and my hands shake like made while injecting which does not help, and yes smidge my injection earlier made me bleed the most and injection has ever made me bleed and it's bruised.

Have you lost weight? I bruise when I lose weight because I need to change to a shorter needle.
