DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE STOMACH ISSUES?

I have cut down on wheat, rye, barley etc immensely but am running out of things to eat and don't want to cut it out completely incase I get false negatives when the gastro team investigate further. I definitely think I am lactose intolerant and have given up milk completely.
I did that and ended up with anaemia.

I know! My heart sinks a little every time I'm reading food labels at the supermarket and see the word milk in bold letters!!! I have not been diagnosed by a doc yet but the cramps are awful!
I was given buscupan tablets. A great help for spasms.

Just out of curiosity, do you eat tofu? I love the stuff and was trying to eat less meat so I started eating more tofu. Turns out I really shouldn't as it totally messed up my digestion. Horrible stomach pains, extreme bloating and having to go to the toilet 6 times a day. Fun.
Since stopping tofu it's a lot better though. The other thing I've found helpful is apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp in a glass of water before meals). Has to be the raw unpasteurised stuff though for the probiotics. I'd always thought this concept was BS but I figured anything is worth a try once you get desperate...
Hope you manage to get it all figured out.

My dn told me to stop metformin, if I like. My stomach goes hard and constipation follows, for me. My periods disappear too. Oh and I add 2st.
I'm very very reluctant to stop mine!

I was wondering if huge doses of insulin injected into tummy was causing mine?
My stomach goes hard too!!! It feels like my intestines are swollen or something! I can't even inject in my stomach anymore because it is so sore! Apple cider vinegar mixed with no added sugar juice has helped me slightly today. I think mine is a mix of bad gut bacteria and acid :(

Yes!!! I am back on the Braggs apple cider vinegar and like you said anything is worth a try! I love tofu but it is tasteless, therefore needs to be marinated. I have not noticed any issues with my consumption of it. I am going to incorporate peppermint and green tea into my life too!

Are you injecting in your legs are arms instead?
I'm tempted to call my dn and ask to move my injection site just to see if any improvement.
Although she has assured me in the past its not due to my heavy insulin dosage. Your case is proof of that that.

Mine is hard before bed but when i wake up its like a water bed/balloon of liquid attached to my stomach. I can bounce my fingers, up and down into it without pain. Only at night before bed is it very very uncomfortable and tight on my ribs.
I've just be diagnosed with anaemia (on top of vitD insufficiency). I'm hoping the 3x210mg of Iron tablets fixes something, whatever the problem is.
I look like a malnutrient obese woman.
I must have had low Iron for more than 6mths. Google says anaemia can cause bloating so I'm hoping this treatment will make all the difference.

When I'm injecting. I'm injecting my basal into a bag of liquid and I get it oozing back out, a little.
I've had a numb tummy on many occasion. A&E have been told when I was there for severe pain and illness recently. They told me they didnt want to re-scan my last years tummy but gp did one but nothing other than my old fatty liver complaint, which only goes away if I do 30g of carb diet.
I'm awaiting a bariatric surgeon appointment so I know I'm due an endoscopy before my major op. I was concerned with pain so much Ithought I had stones in my kidneys or gallbladder.
Are you tempted to see your gp to rule out kidney stones? Has your blood tests been good?

My blood results are good and then I shoot up to 18 in the evening. However, last few weeks they seem better. They did a scan which showed fatty liver last year so maybe thats whats causing the issues?! I was shocked because I wasnt eating a lot of fatty foods! I suffer from water infections from time to time, but I don't think I have kidney stones - I would have thought they would be painful and cause a fever. Lol

Just a word of warning: iron tablets cause me digestive issues so I asked for a sugar free alternative and my doctor prescribed me some liquid iron and it is delicious!!!

Mine too. Mine are good then go double figures as the day goes on. Dn said it isn't common.

So far so good. First pregnancy I needed iron late on in pregnancy and I had no issues with tablets then either.
I'm definitely not pregnant now. I'm 47yrs old and sterilised. I have much more energy today.
I'm off to supervise dinner making. :)

You don't need to ask permission to change your injection site ;) Just do it. You should be rotating sites anyway, don't do two in a row in the same place. And it's a large area of the thighs and tummy that you can inject into, so spacing them out can help. Insulin dosage wouldn't have anything to do with it, just the number of injections into the same area.

Its looking like iron deficiency has been causing my bloating problem. Or maybe antibiotics and antispasm tablets, but since taking iron ferrate 3x210mg daily my tummy has really settled down. Or co- incidence as taking pregabalin tablets now.
However, I think iron deficiency anemia may have not have been any help to mine.
