Does anyone know of a Glucose monitor that can show you graphs or Stats?

I'm trying to wean myself off Freestyle Libre because it is bleeding me dry with expensive sensors that don't work well (pun intended)

I found - https://www.accu-chek.co.uk/gb/products/metersystems/index.html?product=avivaexpert
but they wont let you buy it - great... super... (needs Dr's thingies prescription) - "hmmm reality check 2016" Checked!
Does nice trend graphs and easy to see pie charts too

Any ideas peeps ? I spent over 2 hours googling but my eyes hurt now :¬)

Do you buy your own test strips? if you do that might have a big impact on what monitor you buy.

I buy my own and have a SDcodefree which does have monitoring software, graphs etc The software is free, just need a cable. http://homehealth-uk.com/all-products/sd-codefree-diabetes-management-software-cable/

The manufacturers website has some info http://sdbiosensor.co.kr/DMS_EN which shows scatter plots, pie charts, trend charts etc
I haven't used the software myself so can't comment on it but the home health website has a free users guide so you could have a look to see if it would suit your needs, I just use excel and plot my own charts but looking at the pretty pie charts I might be tempted.

Thank you for the links I will check them out :¬)

I was hoping for stats/graphs on the device ( even basic ones) but dump to pc might work for me

I buy everything myself and as far as health is concerned i am lucky I don't have to worry about costs :¬(
Giving up freestyle libre will free up a lot of cash too

I have useless medical care and this is the reason I have to do it all myself

The joy of living in Wales: no prescription charges.

My Contour Next gives me quite detailed information on the meter itself - broken down into fasting, pre & post meal, undefined, and overall figures. And all of these with 7, 14, 30, 90 days averages and trends (e.g. numbers of high, normal, and low readings).

Software is free and more detailed and data's kept and accessible on PC without meter being connected. I like this side of it much better than the Libre (which I do love for its continuous data though). My ideal system would be the Libre with my Contour software... :p

I know how you feel, as I'm self funded too, but on a lowish pension, and have just now had my 2nd out of 5 sensors fail to start.

Thanks you all for your ideas :¬)

Seems the consensus is use excel :¬) shame really

I actually made my own health spreadsheet up 5 years ago feels like I'm going backwards hehe
(still works today though)

I don't have an iPhone or android (cough cough lumia950xl) so that ideas stuffed

I can still use the Libre to log glucose and if needed ketones but they don't show the results of those on the unit just the sensor data. I guess the little dots would show up in the report generator but its just all a bit naff

Shame they don't want to sell

(weird for a company in business)

lots of nice stats :¬)

Have a nice weekend peeps :¬)

There's a perfectly logical reason for that (actually several). The Aviva Expert has a function that allows insulin users to calculate how many units they need based on current blood glucose readings and the expected consumption of carbohydrates. The can be incredibly useful when setup properly, or incredibly dangerous if it is not. Consequently, the meter should be setup under the supervision of a healthcare professional which is why it requires a prescription.

I've just remembers about Andrew's software, and had come back to suggest it! He's a longish term member and poster on the forum - and as far as I can remember is/was open to any ideas on improvements. (@Andrew Colvin)

The Abbott Copilot software will work as a stand alone item or upload from an Abbott Freestyle Lite if you have one. The strips are expensive but if you don't mind inputting your readings manually then any meter will do.

https://www.myfreestyle.com/copilot-software
If you are computer savvy and can export your data as a CSV or tab delimted file, you can convert it for import into copilot. I transferred 2 months of data from GlucoseBuddy (that I had entered manually) to Copilot in about 15 minutes.

Have any of you heard of Diasend? It is free and all you do download an uploader (win or mac) and then you get in depth look at your readings. My Freestyle optium Neo and Dexcom app link to it. User interface is a bit lacking but compared to excel.... You get me.

As well as this they can share with clinics and my specialist can access all my glucose meter, CGM, Insulin and Carbs whenever they feel like it.

Contour Next has some handy trends on the device and more details when plugged in PC USB. My strips are on prescription, Nurse asked me to consider cheaper ones.

Thanks ill check the details on that one :¬)

I like the 14 day before meal trend idea the above in and below info useful to and the PC software looks good too :¬) I think I give this one a go

Trends (Averages and Summaries) The Trends feature displays your average and a summary of your test results as they compare to your targets, over a period of time that you select. The options available are 7, 14, 30 and 90-day averages. Your meter has been preset to 14-day averages. You can review your 14-day Fasting, Before Meal, and After Meal Summaries and Averages

As one non-medicated T2, to another, may I ask what you were actually going to do with all this lovely data you wanted to collect in such depth?

I believe I am addicted to the stats and as I am weaning myself off the freestyle libre that had lots of stats I wanted something to fill the gap - apart from that nothing realy just interested

you could just feed the data into my little tool as pointed to you before that does all these lovely trending . You can even plat carb intake against your BG levels and look at the daily and 30 day trends. Not on the meter though.
