.....an old finger pricker that was kinda square and flat shaped and the lancet thing came shooting round the edge and hit your finger HARD! lol.

I remember it being used on me when i was diagnosed back in 1989 but cant for the life of me think what it was called or find a picture

Yeah, I remember those things! They were called autolets, and they were like mini torture devices! :shock:

T1 husband used to have one of those, it's probably still in the house somewhere. Is someone setting up a museum?

Oh god I remember those. My dad had one and I remember thinking 'how can he DO that?'. Then I was diagnosed and I had to do it too :roll: . I guess we all got on with it but my god it looked so scary!!

Omg the autolets I remember them when I was in hospital finding out I had it!, they were Mean!

Nah no museum lol. I was talking to my colleage who's also a T1 and he'd never heard of them!

You only have to tlook at the picture to see that they caused PAIN
