This (it's bad for your teeth) comes up over and over - yet we all know the thing about dissolving a tooth in a glass of coke overnight- when has anyone ever dissolved a tooth in a glass of water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in it?

The absolute worst thing for your teeth is to eat anything with sugar or starch in it - it's not even in the same ballpark as the effect that highly diluted ascetic acid might have on your enamel.
I've been having one or two glasses of water with a spoonful of ACV in it every day, while eating no sugar or starch. At my last dental appointment, the dentist was raving that she had never seen such an improvement in gums an teeth in one visit to the next.

The irony is that I've developed a taste for it, but probably benefit very little -the main reason is simply that it does inhibit the enzymes in your mouth that break down starch into sugar - so there is no magic, it really will have an immediate effect of slowing down the rush of starch-sugar.. but only if you are eating starchy food in the first place.

It's worth bearing in mind that growing apples to make ACV is cultural across the middle east, and has been for centuries - this is far from being a fad.
