Type 2 Does preparing food affect BG?

I believe thinking about food is sufficient to trigger an insulin response ... so the M&S food ads will do it as well :( For a type 1 the insulin won't be produced but the other mechanisms to prevent hypos will ... likely to lead to slight blood glucose rise.
As I said earlier, triggering insulin in a type 2 should make bg go lower. Maybe there is response from the liver to compensate which overshoots? I think it is more likely with finger prick testing to be contamination of the skin. My fingers still taste of garlic or chilli, even after washing.
