Hi everyone,
Over the past month I have been experiencing some really worrying symptoms, mainly a light "tingling" / "pins and needles" / "pin pricking" sensation. It started on the soles of my hands and inner wrists, then moved to a specific spot on my left foot and now also occurs on random small spots on my lower legs and the side of my knees. It comes-and-goes throughout the day and doesn't seem any better or worse at rest or with exercise. It doesn't hurt or stop me doing anything; it's just an annoyance.
I have incredibly bad health anxiety and so I am terrified it is Multiple Sclerosis, especially after I read MS is more common in people with T1D and that I am slap bang in the middle of the 20-40 age range when it is usually first diagnosed.
However, does anyone who has experienced neuropathy think it could be that instead? My only hesitation is that: (A) my fingers and toes have never been affected; and (B) my control is generally really good (never had a Hba1C above 6.5) and I've only been diagnosed T1D for 7 years .... so I am worried that this means it is not really a likely scenario for it to be neuropathy. Yes, I actually *want* this to be neuropathy as that is a hell of a lot less scary than MS.
Thanks in advance for any advice or input
