Does using loo in night alter fasting levels?

Can I ask, I need to get up in the night for the toilet, does this skew the results when I test it the following morning before getting out of bed?

I doubt it. I was amazed when I first used a Libre sensor that I had very slight bumps during the night, always corresponding to when I went to the loo. The bumps were very brief and no effect on morning levels.

If that is the case, then it might distort your fasting level if you have dawn phenomenon!
If you think that's the reason why you are getting higher readings on your fasting test, then I would wait till just before breakfast and skip the fasting test.

You may get more out of your monitor if you only test before and two hours after eating!

I agree that putting prominence on morning fasting tests is a waste of strips and stress!
It is more important to test before and after meals.
The pre-evening meal test is normally the lowest of the day, and I use this to gauge how well I am doing.
